What you get
Everything LibreWolf gives you:
- No telemetry. Data collection is switched off and locked.
- uBlock Origin, installed automatically.
- Fingerprinting resistance and other privacy-hardened settings, on from the start.
- No sponsored suggestions, and Firefox accounts stay off unless you turn them on.
- Firefox's engine, add-ons and security fixes.
Plus Hyperion's own additions:
- Tab search. With vertical tabs, a search field sits above your tabs. Type in it and only the tabs whose title or address match stay in the list. Press Ctrl+Shift+F to jump to it, and Esc to clear it.
- Fast updates. Hyperion follows every LibreWolf release within hours, not days. See Updates.
To websites, Hyperion looks like Firefox, so it doesn't stand out.

Updates
Hyperion checks LibreWolf for new releases every few minutes. Each new release is rebuilt with Hyperion's additions for every platform, tested, signed and published.
Hyperion then updates the way Firefox does. It downloads updates in the background, usually as small partial updates rather than the whole browser, verifies their signature, and finishes when you restart it. Help › About Hyperion shows the update status and lets you check for updates yourself.
The dnf and apt packages update with the rest of your system instead.
Verify a download
Every release lists the SHA-256 checksum of each file in a SHA256SUMS file, signed with Hyperion's OpenPGP release key. The Windows and macOS builds are also code-signed.
Source code
Hyperion is LibreWolf's source code plus Hyperion's patches and branding, under the Mozilla Public License 2.0. Each release's complete source code is published next to its downloads.
